Kieron Nutbrown

“My charcoal drawings explore the atmosphere and mystery of ancient landscape and ritual. The shadow cast by sunlight through an old tree, brooding skies above Stonehenge, and over the face of the waters, light through praying hands (after Dürer), all suggest moments caught in liminal space and time”.

“A Map of Time” is a study of the visible terrain of history, and a meditation on the cyclical nature of time.

Kieron is a teacher and artist. He draws in charcoal and graphite, taking inspiration from
history, myth, philosophy and poetry. Although he now lives in America, the ancient and
sacred landscapes of Britain hold a special place in his heart.
